Extra Credit Opportunities

Extra Credit in Mrs. Durand's Class

There are several core beliefs that will be followed with respect to extra credit:

Students' grades need to reflect the amount of mathematics that they know.
On occassion, extra credit will be given to the entire class.
Extra credit will be awarded for a student doing something extra. It is expected that a student completes the requirements of the class before working toward extra credit.
As stated in department policy, a student's grade shall not be raised more than 2% as a result of extra credit.

Requests for extra credit will NOT result in an extra credit assignment. On occassion, projects may be posted to this page for students to complete on their own time. When extra credit projects are posted, students will be notified in class.

Parents and students can anticipate the department sponsored canned food drive for We Care in Decemeber, pending administrative approval. Typically, students can bring in non-perishible food items during the last week of school in December. For every three items a student brings in (excluding Ramen noodles) the student is given one extra credit point. The student may bring in as many items as he or she would like, but a maximum of five extra credit points will be awarded.
